Alcon Innovation Summit with Partners 2024

Q&A

Is Alcon still providing technical support for the Infiniti/Laureate, and if so, for how much longer?

The End of Service date for Infiniti is January 1st, 2024, with exceptions for GEM countries: KSA, Greece, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, having an End of Service date of June 1st, 2024. The End of Service date for Laureate is March 1st, 2025.

Will Alcon be changing the design of LuxOr handles in the future? Surgeons have voiced concerns that the current design obstructs their field of work, leading to fears of contamination. This issue occasionally impacts our sales in Iran.

The latest design of the Luxor Microscope, specifically the Revalia model, features updated handles. We require additional information regarding the type of microscope the customer is experiencing issues with. Please contact the Technical Service Representative for further assistance on this matter.

I attempted to log in to Qstream but was unable to do so because I lack an Alcon domain. How can I implement Qstream in our organization to streamline our technical support?

Qstream is being automatically rolled out to all certified engineers across GEM. We have already completed Lensx and Centurion Qstreams since January, and we are progressing with FS200 and Constellation until the end of Q2. If you have Alcon-certified Field Service Engineers who have not yet received any Qstream notifications, please reach out to your Technical Service Representative. If the results of your engineers’ Qstreams indicate that they need additional support or knowledge enhancement, your Technical Service Representative will contact you to develop a mentorship program.
